I met you almost 10 freaking yearsago… and we’ve been super close ever since. Distance, changing schools, and the busiest of schedules cannot, and will not EVER, shake this beautiful friendship. I am grateful for this someone who has been nothing but loving, caring, sweet, and considerate. When I have an episode you knownot to ask questions, and instead make me laugh. When I’m crying, you take me in your arms and give me the BIGGEST and best hugs! And when we argue (which rarely ever happens), we are back to normal in no time. I love that you take the time to tell me you love me, and that I’m incredibly awesome! Whomever you’re going to marry will have to deal with me first, always, their toughest customer. Is it too much to say that no one is good enough for you?
When I leave for Ghana, you are definitely going to be missed. However, even if we get to talk while I’m gone, or not, it’s expected that I’m guaranteed a hug from you when I get back. Not just any hug. The lifted-in-the-air-I-love-you-unconditionally hug! Don’t ever change. Please don’t. Happy Birthday to one of the bestest cousins in the world! :) He’s always been the closest thing to family, and his love is nothing but unconditional. Known these girls since GR. 9, and despite the ups, downs, periods of walking away, and not being able to fathom each other, we’re still going strong. They let me be silly, they let me be stupid, and they let me be me, 100%. It’s hard to find trust like that with most girls, and I can honestly say these two are diamonds in the rough. Thanks. You have no idea your worth in my eyes.

Later that day I got to thinking about relationships. There are those that open you up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring you somewhere unexpected, those that bring you far from where you started, and those that bring you back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one you have with yourself. And if you can find someone to love the you you love, well, that’s just fabulous.
